Do not be surprised if the Arizona Cardinals – coached by former Steelers offensive coordinator Bruce Arians – make a run at running back Rashard Mendenhall in free agency.

The Cardinals could not afford to make a big offer to wide receiver Mike Wallace because they have so much money invested in Larry Fitzgerald. Plus, they drafted Michael Floyd last year.

But the Cardinals will be looking for a running back because Beanie Wells has been oft-injured, and Mendenhall might be the answer.

Mendenhall is an unrestricted free agent and the chances of the Steelers re-signing him are not very good, not after he got in Mike Tomlin's doghouse and was suspended for a game last season.
