Goaltender Jeff Zatkoff (right) made 26 saves for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins who were shut out on the road by the Syracuse Crunch, 1-0, Wednesday.

The Penguins' next game is Saturday at home against the Norfol Admirals, 7:05 p.m.

 


Shootout goals by forwards Keven Veilleux and Peter Lenes gave the Wheeling Nailers a 2-1 home win against the Kalamazoo Wings, Wednesday.

 

A short-handed goal in the third period by forward Zack Torquato accounted for Wheeling's offense in regulation. Goaltender Scott Darling made 21 saves in the victory.

The Nailers' next game is on the road Friday against the Trenton Titans, 7:05 p.m.
