Defenseman Kris Letang, who left the Penguins' 2-1 victory against Boston Sunday after apparently aggravating a leg problem that had been nagging him, is working out on the ice at Consol Energy Center with conditioning coach Mike Kadar.
It is not yet known if Letang will take part in the team's optional workout, which is scheduled to begin at noon.
Today originally had been scheduled as an off day, but that was switched to Monday after the Penguins completed a stretch of three games in four days.
The workout that was moved to today was made an optional after the Penguins' 2-1 victory against Washington Tuesday night.
They are scheduled to have a full-squad workout Thursday before traveling to Long Island, where they will face the New York Islanders Friday night at Nassau Coliseum.
