Malkin at skate; Cooke, Letang not

Evgeni Malkin is on the ice at the Penguins morning skate at Consol Energy Center, raising the possibility he will return to the lineup tonight against Washington. The center has missed more than a week because of what is believed to be a shoulder injury.

However, defenseman Kris Letang and winger Matt Cooke are not at ythe skate. Letang left Sunday's game against Boston early after aggravating an earlier leg problem. Cooke was somewhat questionable for Sunday but played after having limited ice time the previous game after a painful blocked shot.
