Shootout goals by centers Chad Kolarik and Riley Holzapfel gave the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins a 2-1 road win against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers Sunday.

Right winger Tom Kostopoulos scored the Penguins' lone goal in regulation while goaltender Brad Thiessen made 34 saves in the victory which was Wilkes-Barre/Scranton's third consecutive.

The Penguins' next game is Wednesday at home against the Norfolk Admirals, 7:05 p.m.


Goaltender Peter Delmas made 44 saves for the Wheeling Nailers in a 1-0 road shutout of the Fort Wayne Komets Sunday.

Forward Paul Crowder scored the game's only goal on a power-play in the third period.

The Nailers' next game is Wednesday on the road against the Elmira Jackals, 7:05 p.m.
