An overtime goal by defenseman Joe Morrow (right) gave the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins a 2-1 home win against the Connecticut Whale Saturday.
Center Chad Kolarik scored the Penguins' first goal in the first period. Center Trevor Smith recorded assists on each goal. Goaltender Jeff Zatfkoff made 26 saves in the victory which was Wilkes-Barre/Scranton's third in four games.
The Penguins' next game is Sunday on the road against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, 3 p.m.
Goaltender Scott Darlingmade 25 saves for the Wheeling Nailers in a 3-1 road loss to the Cincinnati Cyclones Saturday.
Forward Matt Germain scored the Nailers' only goal in the second period.
Wheeling has lost eight out of its past nine games. The Nailers' next game is Sunday on the road against the Fort Wayne Komets, 5 p.m.
