Brad Thiessen made 29 saves and led the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to a 2-1 win against the rival Adirondack Phantoms at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia Friday.
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton's scoring came in the third period on goals by left winger Bobby Farnham and center Brian Gibbons (right).
The Penguins' next game is Saturday at home against the Connecticut Whale, 7:05 p.m.
Goaltender Peter Delmas made 38 saves for the Wheeling Nailers in a 5-2 road loss to the Toledo Walleye Friday.
Wheeling's offense come on first period goals by forward Zack Torquato and Matt Germain.
The Nailers have lost seven out of their past eight games. Their next game is Satuday on the road against the Cincinnati Cyclones, 7:35 p.m.
