Goaltender Brad Thiessen (right) made 22 saves and led the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to a 3-0 shutout of the Adirodack Phantoms at home Saturday.
It was Thiessen's fourth shutout in his past eight games and allowed the Penguins to claim their eighth win out of their past nine contests.
Center Warren Peters scored two goals for the Penguins in the first and third periods. Defenseman Alex Grant scored Wilkes-Barre/Scranton's second goal in the second period. Center Brian Gibbons recorded two assists.
The Penguins' next game is on the road Sunday against the rival Hershey Bears, 2 p.m.
Wheeling's next scheduled game is at home Thursday against the Gwinnett Gladiators, 7 p.m.
