Goalie Tomas Vokoun will start when the Penguins visit Winnipeg tonight at 8:08, and defenseman Ben Lovejoy will make his season debut in that game.
Coach Dan Bylsma said Vokoun will play against the Jets because ""Tomas' record in Ottawa (5-12) is not really one we want to experiment with."
The Penguins will visit the Senators Sunday at 5:08 p.m., presumably with Marc-Andre Fleury in goal.
Lovejoy, meanwhile, bumped rookie Simon Despres out of the lineup.
"Ben's a guy who's an NHL defenseman and has not been able to get in the first three games," coach Dan Bylsma said. "We think he's going to add to our team and help us win a game tonight."
As for Despres, Bylsma said a lack of consistency"in his play, consistency in his defending and his demeanor on the ice" helped to put him in street clothes this evening.
"In each of the games he's done some really good things, and he's also had some blips and inconsistencies in his play," Bylsma said. "He's had good periods and followed it up with puck decisions and execution that wasn't as good."
