
An overtime goal by right winger Paul Thompson gave the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins a 2-1 win against the rival Hershey Bears in the AHL Outdoor Classic in Hersheypark Stadium.
Thompson's score came at 1:19 of the period. Center Jayson Megna and defenseman Joey Mormina netted assists. Thompson also recorded an assist off a goal by center Riley Holzapfel in the third period.
Jeff Zatkoff made 24 saves in the victory which was the Penguins fourth consecutive.
The Penguins' next game is Wednesday against the St. John's IceCaps, 7:05 p.m.
