Minutes before the Penguins' Black and Gold scrimmage, Consol Energy Center is probaby 90 percent, maybe 95 percent full. Some of these fans stood in lines circling the arena for hours to get in. Admission was free.

The teams seem a bit lopsided offensively. Sidney Crosby and his linemates, and Evgeni Malkin and his linemates are on the same side (White team), although those two will start on a line with Chris Kunitz against the Black's Matt Cooke-Brandon Sutter-Tyler Kennedy.

Forward Brian Gibbons and defenseman Alex Grant were among those summoned from Wilkes-Barre to fill out the rosters, but they are scratched. Goalie Patrick Killeen was called in, too, and he will serve as the backup to both teams.

One little factoid to pass along: There are 11 players among the two teams who were not drafted. Just goes to show...
