-Alex Grant and Riley Holzapfel each collected a goal and two assists for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a 4-2 defeat of the Norfolk Admirals. Brian Dumoulin each recorded two assists for the Penguins while teammate Brad Thiessen made 11 saves.

-The end of the NHL lockout has given Grant a chance at more playing time.

-With forward Philip Dupuis dealing with an undisclosed injury, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins recalled forward Adam Payerl from the Wheeling Nailers.

He’s obviously shown he can do a lot more.” - Coyotes forward Raffi Torres on Matt Cooke changing his game after multiple suspensions. Torres is attempting a similar change after being hit with a 21-game suspension last postseason.

-The NHL and NHLPA amended an earlier agreement regarding compliance buyouts. Instead of having to wait until June to make the buyouts, teams are allowed to extend them now. The change was made in order to allow the Canadiens and Rangers to part ways with forward Scott Gomez and defenseman Wade Redden respectively.

-P.J. Musico made 14 saves for the Penn State men's team in a 3-2 overtime loss to Neumann.
