A new schedule twist

It can't be emphasized enough that the NHL schedule for the coming season remains a work-in-progress, but it's looking as if the Penguins might be on the road for the entire first weekend.

It's pretty much a given at this point that they will play in Philadelphia next Saturday, but at least one version of the schedule being considered has them playing the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden on Sunday.

Again, that is not definite by any means, and nothing will be until the league releases everything sometime after the players vote to ratify the new CBA.
