The Penguins still haven't revealed which players from their farm team in Wilkes-Barre will be given an opportunity to earn a spot in the NHL during training camp next week.
At this point, it looks as if players will receive physicals Sunday and go through drills for the first time Monday -- that hinges on the players ratifying the new CBA, of course -- so nothing has to be finalized for a few days.
A contingent of Penguins officials, including general manager Ray Shero, attended the Baby Penguins' 3-1 loss to Binghamton Wednesday night, presumably to get another look at the candidates for recall.
The guys most likely to be on the list are forwards Beau Bennett and Eric Tangradi and defensemen Robert Bortuzzo, Simon Despres, Brian Strait and Dylan Reese.
All of those players, except Bennett and Despres, will require waivers this season.
Shero has said he expects between 24 and 26 players to attend camp.
