A group of Penguins players -- and one prominent ex-Penguin -- are scheduled to play in a charity game in Johnstown next Wednesday.
The Johnstown Tomahawks announced that Marc-Andre Fleury, Brooks Orpik, Matt Cooke, Chris Kunitz, Pascal Dupuis, Joe Vitale, Derek Engelland and Ben Lovejoy, along with former Penguins center Jordan Staal, will participate in the game at the Cambria County War Memorial Arena at 7 p.m.
The event will benefit the Pittsburgh Kids Foundation-Haiti and the Johnstown Tomahawks Foundation.
All tickets are $25 and will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. at the War Memorial and through Ticketmaster at 1-800-745-3000.
Sidney Crosby is conspicuously absent from the list of players scheduled to participate. The cost of insurance for him, it seems, would be prohibitive.
