East Palestine, Ohio native J.T. Miller had a goal and two assists while Capitals forward prospect Riley Barber (Washington, Pa.) scored two goals. Panther forward prospect Vince Trocheck (Upper St. Clair) had one shot and was plus-1.
-Penguins defensive prospect Olli Maatta had two shots and was even today for Finland in an 8-0 rout of Germany in another relegation round game at the World Junior Championships in Ufa, Russia.
-Lightning goaltending prospect Andrei Vasilevski made 41 saves for Russia which defeated Switzerland in a shootout, 4-3 in a quarterfinal round.
-NBC Sports Network's ratings have tanked badly due to the absence of NHL games.
