Penguins defensive prospect Scott Harrington had no shots and was plus-1 for Canada today in a 4-1 defeat of Russia at the World Junior Championship tournament in Ufa, Russia.

Another Penguins defensive prospect, Olli Maatta (right), recorded two shots and was minus-2 for Finland which lost to Sweden, 7-4.

Panthers forward prospect Vince Trocheck, a native of Upper St. Clair, had two goals and an assist for the United States which routed Slovakia, 9-3. Rangers forward prospect J.T. Miller, an East Palestine, Ohio native, recorded two assists while Washington, Pa. native Riley Barber, a forward prospect with the Capitals, recorded one shot and was minus-1. Ducks goaltending prospect John Gibson, of Whitehall, made 26 saves in the victory.

With the preliminary round concluding today, the tournament moves on to the relegation round beginning Wednesday. Click here for the schedule.
