The NHL and NHL Players' Association didn't talk much, but they seem to be trying to make up for it today.

The groups apparently still are conference calls to clarify various items contained in the comprehensive collective bargaining agreement proposal the league submitted to the union Thursday.

Penguins player representative Craig Adams said in mid-afternoon that the NHLPA still was reviewing the league's offer, and that he couldn't predict when that process might be complete.

Adams, who has participating in a number of negotiating sessions in recent months, said he might travel to New York if, as expected, one is held there Sunday.
