-Former Penguins forward Kris Beech has joined AIK of Sweden's Elitserien.
-Forwards J.T. Miller, Vince Trocheck, Riley Barber and goaltender John Gibson, all local players, were chosen for the United States' selection camp for the upcoming World Junior Championships.
