Penguins center Evgeni Malkin assisted on a Sergei Gonchar power-play goal today in Metallurg Magnitogorsk's 5-1 win over Barys in the Kontinental Hockey League. He also got minor penalties for roughing and slashing.
Malkin has 10 goals, 32 points in 23 games and is winning 54.1 percent of his faceoffs. He is tied for the KHL lead with 22 assists and ranks third in points, although he has played fewer games than the top two point-getters.
