The NHL, after perusing the NHLPA's proposal, pretty much rejected all components of it, although commissioner Gary Bettman did acknowledge that the union made some movement toward the league and that it was significant to get a full proposal.
Beyond that, Bettman said the NHL is not prepared to move any further.
We are back at the same stalemate for the moment. The players have a conference call scheduled for this evening, and it doesn't appear as if sore feelings are necessarily going to end all communication between the league and the NHLPA. But no further talks are scheduled.
Pour some gravy all over that and try to digest it.
