BRADENTON, Fla. -- In today's Post-Gazette: Francisco Liriano speaks about his broken arm, joining the Pirates and his goals for this season.

Liriano said he wanted to pitch deeper into games this year than he did last season, and hoped to be more efficient with his pitches in the process. That would require reducing the number of walks issued, an issue that contributed to his high ERA last season.
