No, this is not a college basketball post (don't ask this morning).Â
As most of you know, Baseball America released its list of the top 10 Pirates prospects yesterday afternoon, penned by John Perrotto.Â
It's a list that, not surprisingly, is heavy on arms and Latin American prospects. It includes five returning prospects from the 2012 list and two that were on the list in 2011.Â
One notable absence is catcher Tony Sanchez, who was the No. 2 prospect in 2011 and the No. 7 prospect in 2012. On Twitter, Perrotto explains he doesn't see Sanchez as an everyday catcher. His slow development in the minor leagues certainly hasn't helped.Â
One reason for optimism: The projected 2016 lineup looks pretty potent (Always assuming a lot, but there is a lot of potential there).Â

If I could do my life over again, I would try to be a relief pitcher that earns an average of $14 million per year.Â
Teams and players will exchange arbitration figures Friday. But on Tuesday, 133 players filed for arbitration. The Pirates have four arbitration-eligible players remaining (Neil Walker, Garrett Jones, Gaby Sanchez and James McDonald).Â
