Many in Steelers Nation are pouncing on Mike Florio's mis-characterization and out-of-context critiques of Mike Tomlin's recent induction speech to the William and Mary Hall of Fame.

At best Florio is guilty of a gross misunderstanding of Tomlin's remarks born out of laziness. At worst it is a sensationalistic  cheap shot aimed at securing page views thanks to negative press.

But the real shame in all of this is that the value of Tomlin's speech is being lost. In just 15 minutes Tomlin gave a glimpse of the man who is seen every day on the South Side when the cameras are not rolling. His remarks show the depth of his character, his humility and, above all, his class.

The speech shows just why Steelers Nation is so lucky to have him. Click here to watch Mike Tomlin's full induction speech into the William and Mary Hall of Fame.
