-Two goals by James Neal help the Penguins beat the the Rangers, 6-3, and start the season 2-0-0.

-Joe Vitale returns to the lineup.

-An overtime goal by Paul Thompson leads the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins past the Hershey Bears, 2-1, in the AHL's Outdoor Classic at Hersheypark Stadium.

Steelers/NFL

-Three touchdowns by Joe Flacco lead the Ravens past the Patriots, 28-13, in the AFC Championship game.

-Frank Gore ran for 90 yards and two touchdowns for the 49ers who defeated the Falcons, 28-24, in the AFC championship game.

-It's Harbaugh vs. Harbaugh in the Super Bowl.

-The Steelers need some running backs.

College Basketball

-Cody Zeller scored 21 points for No. 2 Indiana in a 67-59 win against Northwestern.

-T.J. Warren had 21 points for No. 14 North Carolina State which defeated Clemson, 66-62.
