-Steelers offensive line coach Sean Kugler was officially introduced as the next head coach at UTEP.
-Tom Brady threw for 296 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Patriots past the Texans, 42-14.
-The Cardinals claimed quarterback Brian Hoyer off waivers from the Steelers.
-Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant is dealing with a finger injury.
-Jaguars coach and former Steelers tight end/assistant Mike Mularkey was briefly hospitalized.
-Bills running back Fred Jackson will miss the rest of the season due to a right knee injury.
-Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe is dealing with broken ribs.
-Titans tight end Jared Cook will miss the rest of the season due to a shoulder injury.

-The NHL officially canceled games up until Dec. 31. To date, 42.8 percent of the schedule has been axed. The Penguins saw the following games canceled with this latest wave:

-Representative from the NHL and NHLPA are expected to resume negotiations for a new collective bargaining agreement on Wednesday.
-Evgeni Malkin leads in voting for the KHL's all-star game.
-Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins goaltender Jeff Zatkoff is dealing with an undisclosed injury.
-The Pirates re-signed Jason Grilli (right).
-The Twins signed former Pirates pitcher Kevin Correia to a two-year contract worth $10 million.
-The Reds re-signed former Pirates outfielder Ryan Ludwick to a two-year contract worth $15 million.
-The White Sox signed former Rays infielder Jeff Keppinger to a three-year contract worth $12 million.
-Duquesne takes on West Virginia tonight at Consol Energy Center.
Otto Porter had 22 points for No. 15 Georgetown which routed Longwood, 89-53.
-Mike MacIntyre leaves San Jose State to become Colorado's head coach.
