-Despite the return of Ben Roethlisberger (above), the Steelers are upset by the Chargers, 34-24.
-Highlights:
-Willie Colon is expected to miss the rest of the season due to a knee injury.
-Dan Bailey kicked a 40-yard field goal as time expired to give the Cowboys an emotional 20-19 win against the Bengals.
-Cowboys nose tacke Josh Brent was released on $500,000 bond a day after he was charged with intoxication manslaughter in connection to a car crash which took the life of teammate Jerry Brown.
-A 34-yard field goal in overtime by Kai Forbath gave the Redskins a 31-28 comeback win against the Ravens.
-Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs missed the game due to a biceps injury.
-Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III left the game due to a knee injury.
-Trent Richardson (right) rushed for two touchdowns to lead the Browns past the Chiefs, 30-7.
-Reggie Wayne had six receptions for 64 yards and a touchdown for the Colts who beat the Titans, 27-23.
-Shonn Greene rushed for 77 yards and a touchdown for the Jets in a 17-10 win against Jaguars.
-Frank Gore had 63 yards rushing and a touchdown for the 49ers in a 27-13 win against the Dolphins.
-A touchdown reception by Brandon Gibson with 48 seconds left in regulation gave the Rams a 15-12 win against the Bills.
-Eli Manning threw for 259 yards and four touchdowns for the Giants in a 52-27 shootout win against the Saints.
-Cam Newton threw for two touchdowns and ran for a score to lead the Panthers past the Falcons, 30-20.
-Adrian Peterson rushed for 154 yards and two touchdowns for the Vikings who defeated the Bears, 21-14.
-Aaron Rodgers threw for 173 yards and rushed for a touchdown to lead the Packers past the Lions, 27-20.
-Marshawn Lynch had 128 yard rushing and three touchdowns to lead the Seahawks to a 58-0 demolition of the Cardinals.
-Bears quarterback Jay Cutler left the game due to a neck injury.
-Vikings punter Chris Kluwe wore a Post-It Note over a Hall of Fame patch on his jersey which said "Vote Ray Guy" in support of the former All-Pro Raiders punter.
-Jeremy Maclin scored a touchdown on a one-yard reception as time expired and gave the Eagles a 23-21 win against the Buccaneers.
-Eagles tight end Brent Celek left the game due to a concussion.
-Pitt's Dante Taylor has found a role as a top reserve his senior season.
-Doug McDermott scored 30 points for No. 16 Creighton in a 77-61 win against Akron.
-No. 21 UNLV got 25 points from Anthony Bennett and edged California, 76-75.
-The Dodgers signed South Korean pitcher Ryu Hyun-jin to a six-year, $36-million contract.
-The Phillies acquired thirds baseman Michael Young from the Rangers in exchange for pitchers Josh Lindblom and Lisalverto Bonilla.
-The Royals acquired pitchers James Shields and Wade Davis from the Rays in exchange for outfielder Wil Myers, pitchers Jake Odorizzi, Mike Montgomery and third baseman Patrick Leonard.
-Former Orioles infielder Mark Reynold signed a one-year deal with the Indians worth $6 million.
-The Mariners signed former Pirates outfielder Jason Bay (right) to a one-year, $1 million contract.
-NHL deputy commissioner and NHLPA special counse Steve Fehr had informal talks over the weekend.
-Penguins forward Tanner Glass made his debut with Banska Bystrica and was held without a point in a 2-1 shootout win against HK Nitra in the Slovak Extraliga.
-Avalanche forward Matt Duchene has joined Ambrì-Piotta of Switzerland's NLA.
