-Ravents linebacker Terrell Suggs is dealing with a torn right biceps.

-The Patriots re-signed wide receiver Dante Stallworth.

-The Bills released linebacker Kirk Morrison.

-Eagles running back and former Pitt star LeSean McCoy is in the third phase of a five-step concussion recovery.

-Lions wide receiver Ryan Broyles is dealing with a right knee injury.

Penguins/NFL

-The NHL-NHLPA owners-players "only" meeting is scheduled for today. Ron Burkle and Sidney Crosby (above) will each participate.

-Wilkes-Barre/Scranton's Jeff Zatkoff was named the AHL's goaltender of the month for November.

-Defensive prospects Scott Harrington and Derrick Pouliot were among 37 players invited to Canada's selection camp for the upcoming World Junior Championships.

-Evgeni Malkin had a goal and three assists for Metallurg Magnitogorsk in a 7-4 win against Spartak Moscow in Russia's KHL.

-Highlights (Malkin's goal is at the 8:10 mark):

-Dustin Jeffrey was held without a point for Medvescak Zagreb in an 11-2 loss to EC VSV in Austria's EBEL.

-Blue Jackets forward and former Penguin Mark Letestu has joined Almtuna of Sweden's Allsvenskan.

-The Nationals signed former Pirates pitcher Zach Duke.

-The Giants re-signed outfielder Angel Pagan to a four-year contract.

-The Padres re-signed pitcher Jason Marquis.

-The Rangers re-signed catcher Geovany Soto.

-The Red Sox agreed to terms with former Rangers catcher/infielder Mike Napoli.

-Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez will undergo hip surgery.

College Football

-Pitt's Paul Chryst is pumped for the BBVA Compass Bowl.

-Penn State quarterback Matt McGloin (right) was awareded the Burlsworth Award which goes to the nation's top former walk-on player.

-Kansas State quarterback Collin Klein, Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel and Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o were named as finalists for the Heisman Trophy.

-South Carolina signed head coach Steve Spurrier to a contract extension through 2017.

College Basketball

-Former Marquette/Ball State/Utah/Saint Louis coach Rick Majerus, who died Saturday, left an impact on Pitt.

-Cameron Wright is gaining Jamie Dixon's trust.

-Michael Carter-Williams had 11 points for No. 4 Syracuse in an 84-48 win against Eastern Michigan.

-Jamaal Franklin scored 18 points for No. 17 San Diego State which defeated Texas Southern, 74-62.
