Steelers/NFL-It's amazing what three consecutive wins have done for the Steelers.
-A few of the Steelers discuss politics.
-The Steelers-Ravens game for Nov. 18 will remain in prime time.
-Drew Brees threw for 239 and two touchdowns to lead the Saints past the Eagles, 28-13.
-Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel removed himself as defensive coordinator and handed duties to linebacker coach Gary Gibbs.
-Kansas City quarterback Brady Quinn (concussion) has not been medically cleared for play.
-The Chiefs re-signed defensive lineman Shaun Smith.
-According to his doctors, the cancer of Colts coach Chuck Pagano is in remission.
-Packers linebacker Clay Matthews, Jr. is expected to be sidelined a couple of weeks due to a hamstring injury.
-Allan Walsh, agent for Tomas Vokoun (right), said his client has not joined Karlovy Vary of the Czech Extraliga and has no immediate plans of playing in Europe during the lockout. The team reported last week that Vokoun had signed a contract.
-"Both sides have shown their willingness to get to 50-50, or close to it. The question is, 'How do you get there? How long does it take to get there?' And in getting there, how do you do your best to honor existing contracts?" - Craig Adams on negotiations with the NHL.
-The NHL and NHLPA are scheduled to resume negotiations today.
-Matt Cooke had the hole in his head fixed.
-The Penguins want to build a public rink at Station Square.
-The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins demoted forwards Keven Veilleux and Adam Payerl to the Wheeling Nailers.
-Pirates minor league outfielder Gregory Polanco and infielder Dilson Herrera were named players of the year in South Atlantic League and the Gulf Coast League respectively.

-The Red Sox agreed to re-sign designated hitter David Ortiz.
