-Ben Roethlisberger's next touchdown pass will be the 200th of his career.
-Giants defensive end Justin Tuck accused the Steelers of holding.
-Quarterback Philip Rivers threw for 220 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Chargers to a 31-13 win against the Chiefs.
-Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles suffered a neck injury.
-Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall will be fined for his outburst against an official during last Sunday's game against the Steelers.
-The Patriots acquired cornerback Aqib Talib and a seventh-round pick in 2013 from the Buccaneers in exchange for a fourth-rounder in 2013.
-Falcons linebacker Sean Weatherspoon will miss Sunday's game against the Cowboys due to an ankle injury.

-A shootout goal by Chris Barton led the Wheeling Nailers to a 3-2 win against the Toledo Walleye. Stefan Chaput had two assists for Wheeling while teammate Patrick Killeen made 9 saves.

-Deryk Engelland recorded an assist for Rosenborg in a 5-2 win against Vålerenga in Norway's GET Ligaen.
-“I’m extremely disappointed, like any fan, of where we are. We should be playing hockey by now. Everybody knows it and we’re not. Everybody can fingerpoint all they want, but at the end of the day, I don’t think anybody cares who’s at fault. All they know if we’re not playing hockey, why aren’t we playing hockey?” - Senators owner Eugene Melnyk on the lockout.

-Kings forward/captain Dustin Brown has joined ZSC of Switzerland's NLA for the duration of the lockout.
-Coyotes forward/enforcer and former Penguin Paul Bissonnette has joined the Cardiff Devils of England's EIHL for the duration of the lockout.
-Phoenix forward Radim Vrbata has joined BK Mlada Boleslav of the Czech Republic's CHL for the duration of the lockout.
-Former Pirates pitcher Pascual Perez was killed in a robbery attempt in the Dominican Republic. He was 55.
-Nationals first baseman Adam LaRoche and pitcher Sean Burnett, both former Pirates, declined options.
-The Marlins hired former catcher Mike Redmond as manager.
-The Giants declined an option on outfielder/first baseman Aubrey Huff.
