-Two key people think Rashard Mendenhall (right) should be the Steelers' top running back: Jonathan Dwyer and Isaac Redman.

-Emmanuel Sanders will have a meeting with NFL brass over suspicions that he faked an injury last month.

-With Alameda Ta'amu returning from a suspension, the Steelers released Damon Cromartie-Smith.

-Ryan Clark says he feels good after suffering a concussion last Sunday.

-Ben Roethlisberger and Todd Haley are BFFs.

-The Steelers are taking the Allegheny County Sports & Exhibition Authority to court over expanding Heinz Field.

-Giants safties Antrel Rolle (concussion) and Kenny Phillips (knee) are questionable.

-Ex-Pirates first baseman Casey McGehee and pitcher Rafael Soriano declined his option with the Yankees.

-The Orioles picked up an option on pitcher Luis Ayala and declined on infielder Mark Reynolds.

-The Indians exercised an option on pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez and declined them on pitcher Roberto Hernandez and designated hitter Travis Hafner.

-The Royals acquired pitcher Ervin Santana from the Angels in exchange for minor league pitcher Brandon Sisk.

-The Giants held a World Series parade.
