-Evgeni Malkin says he plans on playing for Russia in the World Championships if the Penguins are eliminated.

-"We've discussed a game plan of how to get them frustrated, get them off their game -- just getting after it, playing hard, playing smart between the whistles." - Flyers forward Scott Hartnell.

-The Flyers have cashed in on six of their 10 power play attempts this series.

-The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins' first round schedule has been announced:

Game 3 – Wed., Apr. 25 – Wilkes-Barre/Scranton at Hershey, 7:00 p.m.

-Henrik Lundqvist made 39 saves for the Rangers in a 1-0 shutout of the Senators in Game 3. The Rangers lead the series, 2-1.

-A goal and two assists by captain Zdeno Chara led the Bruins to a 4-3 win against the Capitals in Game 3. Tim Thomas made 29 saves for Boston which has a 2-1 series lead.

-A goal and two assists by Andy McDonald led the Blues to a 4-3 win against the Sharks in Game 3. Brian Elliott made 26 saves for the Blues who lead the series, 2-1.

Pirates/MLB

-The Pirates' bullpen falters in a 5-1 loss to the Diamondbacks.

-Highlights:

-Neil Walker is getting past his slow start.

-The minor league report.

-The Giants signed pitcher Madison Baumgartner to a five-year extension worth $35 million.

Steelers/NFL

-Welcome back Charlie Batch.

-The Broncos re-signed wide receiver Brandon Stokley.

-Denver released former Steelers defensive lineman Ryan McBean.

-The Dolphins signed former Panthers wide receiver Legedu Naanee.

-The Raiders re-signed safety Matt Giordano.

-Former Rams Pro Bowl center Rich Saul passed away. He was 64.
