-The NHL opted to suspend Rangers forward Carl Hagelin three games for elbowing Senators captain Daniel Alfredsson in the head during Saturday's Game 2. The league also decided to suspend Senators defenseman Matt Carkner for attacking Rangers forward Brian Boyle.-The explanation on Hagelin:

-“The New York Rangers accept the NHL’s three-game suspension of Carl Hagelin and will not pursue an appeal. However, we are thoroughly perplexed in the ruling’s inconsistency with other supplementary discipline decisions that have been made throughout this season and during the playoffs. We will have no further comment on this decision.” - A statement issued by the Rangers.-Senators coach Paul MacLean said Alfredsson was "feeling good" but would not commit on his status for Game 4.
-Two goals by Stephen Weiss led the Panthers to a 4-2 win against the Devils in Game 2. Marcel Goc added a goal and an assist for Florida while teammate Jose Theodore made 23 saves. The series is tied, 1-1.
-Jonathan Quick made 41 saves for the Kings in a 1-0 shutout of the Canucks in Game 3. Los Angeles leads the series, 3-0.
-A goal and an assist by Kevin Klein led the Predators to a 3-2 win against the Red Wings in Game 3. Pekka Rinne made 41 saves for Nashville which leads the series, 2-1. Pavel Datsyuk had a goal and an assist for Detroit.
-Scott Munroe made 25 saves for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins who lost to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, 3-2.-Penguins regulars goaltender Brad Thiessen, defensemen Joey Mormina, Alexandre Picard, forwards Ryan Craig, Jason Williams, Colin McDonald and Brian Gibbons did not play.

-Kevin Correia leads the Pirates to a 4-1 win against the Giants.
