Fellas, that's the Eye of Mordor but it sure looks like a giant flaming lady-part to me.

Toadsly, reading this excellent entry has been on my to-do list. What a vision!

You've given me lots to think about. The idea of an earth populated by less than a billion is intriguing. Total devotion to sustainable energy/agriculture/manufactures enforced by selfless dictatorial scientists makes me wonder if human nature would allow it.

pumpernickel, Like you, I'm thinking mankind goes the way of the dodo. - ceejai

Yeah, that poster foto from "Lord of the Rings" is quite erotic.

The only thing I know about knotweed is that it's the name of an actor in my favorite "Blue" movie "Booty Pirates."

Any form of immortality is okay with me. It would be mind-boggling to discover there are many versions of it available.

Thanks for reading my silly fluff! - Toadsly

Hey - maybe we can find a thousand uses for Japanese Knotweed! Isn't that a form of bamboo? - thescarletpumpernickel

Much to think about, my friend!

Interesting and original "futurist" speculation.

Maybe what's most interesting is that you actually see us (mankind) as surviving...(I'm not sure that I'm so optimistic.)

As to immortality, what if there were persuasive (but not incontrovertible) evidence for some form of "life after death", of dimensions and a reality normally inaccessible to us? Would immortality in the sense that you speak of be a desired state? - thescarletpumpernickel
