Thank you. I never said anything about any of those three schools. But, any school in those type of conferences(BCS) would come looking for him for his past success. There's no doubt he's done well with this program before and he's a good coach. So, some school like LSU or Nebraska or some other school in that category(brand name school, poor basketball) would come after him for more money. He said it without being unclear that he doesn't like to move to the ACC at all. He'd jump at the chance to get out of here....maybe even for equal money. And, he's coaching like it. The defensive demands he used to place on the team is no longer there. Just watching him this year makes it look like he doesn't want to be here.
84 points to DePaul??? Are you kidding me? And yes, I remember those Willard era games, but it wasn't embarrassing because he was so bad, nothing was ever expected of his teams. This loss should never be expected or accepted. Not if you're going to have a major program.
I've said it before. I'll say it again. Dixon won't be here after this season and all I'm saying is that he's coaching like it. That's what is unacceptable. - Pops

This Pops is something else. Most embarrassing loss in history - were you alive and awake during the Ralph Willard era? And the logic is bizarre. Why would a big-time program, presumably one like Duke or Carolina or Kentucky that has won more games than Pitt over the last decade, want such a losing coach? - j_r_ambrose

So, now it's DePaul. This is the most humiliating loss in Pitt basketball history, at least in terms of Big East play. Forget it. The season is over and Dixon has CHECKED OUT!!!! He's too busy updating his resume for the next big job to come along instead of coaching the kids. - Pops
