So about once a week, Penn State is letting us watch practice.
There is a catch: It is usually for 15 minutes, not nearly long
enough to make any conclusions or really learn anything most of the
time.
Steven Adams, Pitt’s 6-foot-11 freshman center, has said
repeatedly since arriving on campus this summer that he is in no
rush to get to the NBA. Coaches and general managers in the league,
however, might be in a rush to get him.
Penn State’s running back situation continues to get more
complicated. On Tuesday, coach Bill O’Brien said running backs Bill
Belton and Derek Day were day-to-day with injuries.

Pitt’s opponent in the first game of the preseason N.I.T. has
been determined. The Panthers will play host to Fordham at 6 p.m.
Monday Nov. 12 at the Petersen Events Center. Robert Morris will
play Lehigh in the second game.
