Pitt, Syracuse and Notre Dame are all 11-6 in Big East Conference play heading into the final weekend of the season. Here are the scenarios for Pitt’s seeding at next week’s conference tournament. The team that gets the No. 4 seed does not have to play until Thursday in the quarterfinal round. The Nos. 5 and 6 seeds must play Wednesday.

*If Pitt beats DePaul AND Notre Dame loses at Louisville AND Syracuse loses at Georgetown, Pitt is No. 4 seed.

*If Pitt beats DePaul AND Notre Dame loses at Louisville AND Syracuse beats Georgetown, Pitt is the No. 4 seed because the Panthers own the head-to-head tiebreaker against Syracuse.

*If Pitt beats DePaul AND Notre Dame beats Louisville AND Syracuse loses at Georgetown, Pitt is the No. 5 seed because the Panthers lose a head-to-head tiebreaker with Notre Dame.

*If Pitt beats DePaul AND Notre Dame beats Louisville AND Syracuse defeats Georgetown AND Marquette beats St. John’s, Pitt is the No. 6 seed.

*If Pitt loses at DePaul AND Notre Dame loses at Louisville AND Syracuse beats Georgetown, Pitt is the No. 6 seed because the Panthers lose the head-to-head tiebreaker with Notre Dame.

*If Pitt loses at DePaul AND Notre Dame beats Louisville AND Syracuse beats Georgetown, Pitt is the No. 6 seed.

*If Pitt loses at DePaul AND Notre Dame loses at Louisville AND Syracuse loses at Georgetown AND Marquette beats St. John’s, Pitt is the No. 4 seed based on its victory against Georgetown, which would be the No. 1 seed based on other Big East tiebreakers.

*If Pitt loses at DePaul AND Notre Dame beats Louisville AND Syracuse loses to Georgetown, Pitt is No. 5 seed because it wins head-to-head tiebreaker with Syracuse.

I know you will give us your Pitt-DePaul pick tomorrow before the game. How about your ND-Louisville pick right now? Louisville seems to be peaking and I just can't see them losing two straight to Notre Dame. My pick would be Lousiville 79-70.

I agree. Louisville let one get away at ND in that five OT game. Cards can get share of conference championship. Not sure it will be all that close. I'll say Louisville 67, ND 59
