Pitt sophomore Cameron Wright will start at guard in place of freshman James Robinson, who had started the first 14 games of his college career. Tray Woodall will move to the point and Wright will start at shooting guard.
It is believed coach Jamie Dixon would like Wright to defend Eli Carter, Rutgers’ leading scorer. Robinson will likely be the first reserve off the bench and it’s unlikely his minutes would drastically change. He is averaging the third-most minutes on the team behind only Lamar Patterson and Talib Zanna.
Wright, who started 10 games last season, will start for the first time this season. He scored 10 points in the Big East opener vs. Cincinnati on Monday.
