A new feature on PG Plus this season. I’ll make a prediction for every game for the rest of the season and pick a final score. I’ll keep a running record for the season, so everyone can see how dumb or smart I am.

Today’s prediction: Cincinnati 57, Pitt 56

Cincinnati finishes 2012 the way it started – with a win at Pitt. Although I am tempted to pick Pitt because the Panthers are at home I am going with the Bearcats because of their experience.

Cincinnati won last New Year’s Day, 66-63. I think it will be even lower scoring today. Cincy is a quality defensive team and won’t allow many second-chance opportunities for Pitt because of its ability to rebound.

Pitt is a much better defensive team this season and should be able to limit the Bearcats as New Mexico did last week in handing the Bearcats their only loss of the season.

Both of these team will finish in the top five or six of the conference.

I’ll be proved wrong if Steven Adams has a big day.
