Penn State freshman running back Akeel Lynch was charged Friday with criminal mischief for allegedly damaging a window at a campus dormitory, according to Penn State police.
The offense stems from November 16, but the charges were not made until Friday, Penn State police chief Tyrone Parham said, after Lynch had been identified in a subsequent investigation. Parham said a large rock had been thrown through the window of the dormitory, Shulze Hall.
A Penn State spokesperson said he had no information about any possible discipline Lynch might face from the football team.
Lynch did not play this season. November 16 was a Friday, the day before Penn State played a home game against Indiana.
