Reports: Anthony Midget to be new assistant coach at Penn State

The Charleston Daily Mail (West Virginia) has reported that Marshall defensive coordinator Anthony Midget is leaving to take an assistant coaching position at Penn State. Penn State has been short an assistant since Ted Roof left for Georgia Tech and secondary coach John Butler was promoted to Roof's position.

Midget had just taken the job at Marshall a couple of weeks ago. He spent the 2012 season as the defensive coordinator at Georgia State. Though Bill O'Brien's staff has no ties with Georgia State, O'Brien coached at Georgia Tech and others did at West Georgia. Midget played defensive back in college for Virginia Tech.
