Blue-White Illustrated, Penn State's version of Rivals, has reported that a handful of new players have committed to walk-on at Penn State in the fall, with the caveat that decisions could still change in the coming months. Unlike with National Signing Day (which is next week), FCS and Division II schools routinely still scoop up players late in the spring, so these guys all have a lot of time to change their minds.
Here they are:
Linebacker Brandon Smith (6-1, 215) - He turned down offers from Penn and Princeton
Quarterback Jack Seymour (6-3, 205) - Turned down offers from MAC schools. From Indianapolis.
Offensive lineman Tom Devenney (6-3, 278) From Liditz, Pa.
Offensive lineman Austin Fiedler (6-6, 307) - From Turbotville, Pa.
Defensive tackle Adam Galimberti (6-5, 255)- From State College. Turned down offers from Bucknell, Holy Cross, Princeton and Penn.
Athlete Adam Geiger (5-10, 195) - From Camp Hill.
Quarterback Chris Geiss (6-4, 190) - From Malvern.
Kicker Chris Gulla (6-2, 195) - From Toms River, NJ. Was considering walk-on offers at South Carolina and Rutgers.
Safety Tom Pancoast (6-4, 195) - From Kennet Square, Pa. Had offers from Colgate and Bucknell.
Linebacker Kyle Searfoss (6-2, 225) - From Lewisberry, Pa.
Linebacker Von Walker (6-0, 195) - From Mill Hall, Pa.
