The AP released its All-American team today and no Penn State players were included on the first three teams, even Mike Mauti.
Mauti, a linebacker, was named the best linebacker in the Big Ten as well as an ESPN All-American. Nine linebackers were named to the AP's top three teams: Georgia's Jarvis Jones, Notre Dame's Manti Te'o, Alabama's C.J. Mosley, LSU's Kevin Minter, UCLA's Anthony Barr, K-State's Arthur Brown, Rutger's Khaseem Greene, Stanford's Trent Murphy and BYU's Kyle Van Noy.
Mauti certainly was Penn State's best choice for an All-American, and will undoubtedly be considered snubbed by many Penn State fans.
