Penn State football players John Urschel and Pete Massaro named academic All-Americans

Offensive guard John Urschel and defensive end Pete Massaro were named academic All-Americans today by Capital One.

Urschel, a redshirt junior, has a 4.0 in mathematics and is already in graduate school. Massaro, a senior, got his finance degree last year with a 3.85 GPA and is working toward finishing an economics degree this fall. He was also named a first team academic All-American last year. 

“It’s an awesome feeling,”  Massaro said in a release. “I actually had this date circled on my calendar. This is one of the things you work for when you are a college student-athlete. It’s a fantastic feeling.”
