Northwestern is a "must-win" game, one of the biggest Glenn Carson has played in

Northwestern comes into this game 5-0 and improbably the most accomplished Big Ten team thus far. All of that means the Penn State players realize the stakes. 

Linebacker Glenn Carson and running back Bill Belton both referred to the game as a must-win. They're probably right. If Penn State wants to win the Leaders Division, it will need to get victories against the other teams that can contend. 

For Carson, the homecoming aspect of the game also makes a difference. 

"We’re really focused for this game," he said. "It’s absolutely one of the biggest games I’ve played in."
