It's been a while for Garry Gilliam, and he didn't always think he would be back. Gilliam last played for Penn State in October of 2010. His rehab got worse about a year later when his knee became infected, and he had to take antibiotics until this February.

"That was probably the lowest point I was at and wanting to cope with everything that was going on and wondering if could play football again at all," he said.

He will be back on Saturday, just slightly banged up during a few practices. He'll be part of Bill O'Brien's new offense that will showcase the tight ends.

"You’ll see me as more of a blocker and I will get out on routes and within 15 yards of the goal line," he said. "I’ll probably block and run routes 60-40."
