One of the few questions on the summer depth chart, i.e. one of the few "or" spots, dealt with the left offensive guard position. Miles Dieffenbach or Mark Arcidiacono was the prime candidate to start.

It now appears that Dieffenbach, a sophomore is the one. Bill O'Brien said Dieffenbach had solidified the starting spot.

"Miles has had a really, really good training camp," O'Brien said. "He’s picked up where he left off after spring practice."

O'Brien said Arcidiacono has not been able to play because of an injury to his foot.

In other linemen news, Patrick Christie is no longer listed on the Penn State roster. Christie, an offensive guard, is a redshirt sophomore walk-on who has never played in a game.
