Offensive lineman Ryan Nowicki off Penn State's roster

The number is now eight. Eight Penn State players are no longer featured on the team's official roster, with Ryan Nowicki being taken off this afternoon.

Nowicki, a redshirt freshman offensive lineman, was not even included on the depth chart released earlier this summer. AZcentral.com, Nowicki's hometown newspaper, is reporting that Nowicki will transfer to Illinois.

Last week, Illinois coach Tim Beckman said his staff was in State College, talking to players.
