Kicker-punter Anthony Fera removed from Penn State roster, report says he has transferred to Texas

Penn State kicker-punter Anthony Fera is no longer on the roster as of this morning. ESPN's Joe Schad reports that he is transferring to Texas.

Fera made 14 of 17 field goals last year and averaged 42 yards per punt. He was named second team All Big 10. 

His depature leaves Penn State with an inexperienced kicking game. For punting, the Nittany Lions have Alex Butterworth, who had an average of 38.5 yards per punt on eight punts.

For kickers, sophomore Sam Ficken made one of two attempts last season and did not play in a Big 10 game. Redshirt freshman kicker Matt Marcincin did not play last season.
