It's been a great five-ish months of recruiting for Bill O'Brien. Working on his first true class, the class of 2013, his staff has already sealed commitments from 12 players in the class of 2013. Dorian Johnson's commitment gives Penn State its seventh four-star commit, going by Rivals' rankings.
Last year, Penn State only had two four-star commits. This is certainly a good start, and ESPN national recruiting expert Tom Luginbill is not suprised.
"With a fresh sense of revival and a fresh start, they are more dialed into the coaching staff and program than any controversy or off-field isusses that didn't have anything to do with them," he said. "I think they are doing a great job of playing into that and focusing on moving forward and a fresh start."
